Sanjiv Mehta, Chairman and Managing Director, Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) received the coveted Economic Times Business Leader of the Year 2019 award at a ceremony held in Mumbai on Saturday, 30th November 2019. The award was handed to him by Minister of Home Affairs, Mr Amit Shah. The award highlighted Sanjiv’s contribution at the helm of HUL, a company with sound corporate governance and stakeholder management.
Sanjiv thanked his family, his mentors and his team in HUL while receiving the award and mentioned that ‘this recognition is a reflected glory from the great Company that I work for’.
Stressing on the values, purpose and ethos of the Company, Sanjiv said, “At Unilever we have three fundamental beliefs - Companies with purpose last, Brands with purpose grow and People with purpose thrive. Hindustan Unilever symbolises these beliefs.”
